From Community Animal Health Workers to livestock keepers participating in the Passing-on-the-Gift model, communities across South Sudan are carrying forward the skills, knowledge, and systems strengthened through the 1-SHOP project. As the project concludes, we reflect on the lasting impacts of this community-led approach to resilience.
From climate-resilient farming to women-led food systems, this impact report explores the achievements of the AGROW program in rural Cambodia. Implemented by VWB from 2022 to 2024 and funded by Global Affairs Canada, AGROW empowered over 21,000 individuals—primarily women—through sustainable agriculture, animal health services, and a holistic One Health approach.
In collaboration with Action Contre la Faim (ACF) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), VWB recently completed a 16-day mass vaccination campaign in Northern Bahr el Ghazal, South Sudan, vaccinating over 59,000 livestock and strengthening community resilience.
