Ever dreamed about your furry friend becoming a star? Well, get ready for a tail-wagging opportunity where they could be featured on a beer label by one of our paw-some brewery contest partners!

Veterinarians Without Borders North America is expanding our Animals & Ales Photo Contest for our very first our very first Animals & Ales U.S., happening May 31 – June 16, 2024. Pet owners just like you will have the chance to submit a photo of their pet, collect as many votes as possible from family and friends ($1 = 1 vote*). and by doing so, raise important funds for veterinary care and programs to support animals and communities in need. The winning pet from each of our brewery partners will be featured on a label of their limited release bottles or cans.

*Contestants must be 21+ years old and legal residents of the United States to enter and vote.

**Votes qualify for a charitable tax receipt and will be emailed to voters by September.

During their careers in the technology and engineering fields, they learned the value of trial and error, experimentation and attention to detail.   2. Click on the brewery you'd like to enter using the links above and you’ll be taken to the GoGo Photo Contest platform. It’s free to register and enter the contest.
  3. Spread the word about your four-legged superstar through your network! Each vote is $1 and the pet with the most votes wins. Cross your fingers, or paws, for the most votes.
  4. The winning pet will be the star on the label of one of the participating breweries.

Eligibility: The 2024 Animals & Ales US Photo contest is open to legal residents of fifty (50) United States, excluding employees, volunteers, and board members of Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord (VWB/VSF), as well as their immediate family members. You must be 21+ years of age to participate in the VWB/VSF Animals & Ales US Photo Contest in association with brewery name (location) and brewery name (location). This includes both entering and voting in the contest. All federal, state, local and municipal regulations and laws apply. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Contest period: The contest opens at 9:00 a.m. ET (Eastern Time) on May 31, 2024. The contest closes on June 16, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time). All fundraising must take place within these dates. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

Entry requirements: To enter the contest, you must create a VWB Animals and Ales U.S. Photo Contest entry via GoGo Photo Contest during the contest period. It’s free to enter the contest. Follow the instructions provided to submit your entry with the brewery you wish to participate with (listed above). Online submissions through the GoGo Photo Contest only accepted. By submitting an entry to the contest, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to abide by these rules and regulations.

Photo submissions: The photo(s) submitted must follow these requirements and rules to print:

  • Photos submitted must include only the winning animal (and no other animals or humans). The animal should be present in no less than 2/3 of the frame.
  • 150 dpi (300 dpi preferred)
  • Winners must own the rights to the photos they provide (e.g., photos taken by professional photographers are not eligible without the photographer's explicit permission).
  • The animal cannot appear in distress.
  • Please ensure that the photo is sharp and in focus with a clean background. If a photo is deemed ineligible, the winning contestant will have five days to submit new photos. If a usable photo cannot be produced the label will go to the next highest fundraiser.
  • The entrant retains copyright to their work but grants VWB/VSF and participating breweries a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display the submitted photos for promotional and fundraising purposes, including but not limited to, publication in print and online materials and social media.
  • VWB/VSF reserves the right to disqualify any entry based on objectionable, inappropriate, offensive or prohibited content. In this scenario, donations collected will be refunded, if requested, by the donors.

    Voting: Each $1 donation equals 1 vote. Contest entrants are encouraged to email their contest link to their networks, family and friends to encourage them to vote. Votes may only be cast during the contest period.

    Winners and notifications: Winners will be determined according to how many votes they receive and how much they raise in their individual contest fundraisers. All donations to VWB/VSF must be made online through GoGo Photo Contest and directly to your contest entry to be counted towards your contest fundraising total.

    The winner with the most votes per brewery partner during the contest period wins. In the case of a tie, the entrant that reached their final vote total first will receive the prize.

    All winners must provide a selection of 2-3 photos of their pet by [date]. Photos must meet the image quality requirements described in the photo submission section above. The winners will also be contacted directly by VWB/VSF to make arrangements for submitting required photos. If appropriate photos are not provided by the deadline, VWB/VSF will offer the winning place to the next eligible contestant.

    The winning bottles/cans will only be available for pick-up at the brewery, post-event. VWB/VSF will communicate with winners when the bottles/cans are available.

    The final winners (including first and second place winners) will be posted to website on [date].

    Prizes: The top fundraisers for VWB/VSF Animals & Ales US Photo Contest, in association with each brewery, including brewery name (location) and brewery name (location), will each win a place for their pet’s photograph to be featured on a specially released beer. Winners will receive a framed print of their custom label, plus a multi-pack of their specially labelled beer (all federal, state, local and municipal regulations and laws apply). The runner-up (second place contestants) for each brewery will receive a $50 gift card to the brewery they participated with and an additional prize to be announced.

    To claim their prize, winners must acknowledge and give permission to VWB/VSF, brewery name (location) and brewery name (location), to use the name, story, and photos of the animal entered in the contest in online and print publications, promotions, and materials.

    Taxes and legal compliance: Winners are responsible for any taxes associated with their prizes and must ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

    Disclaimers and limitations: By participating in the Animals & Ales US Photo Contest, you agree to release Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord (VWB/VSF) from liability and waive your right to sue VWB/VSF, their employees, volunteers or partners from any and all claims, damages or losses incurred.

    VWB/VSF reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time for any reason.

All funds raised will help animals and communities that lack access to veterinary care, including right here in Canada, as well as in areas like Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. Veterinarians Without Borders North America also responds to crises and emergencies, worldwide, and is currently providing emergency support in Ukraine and South Sudan to address the growing needs of animals and communities.


So long as you're over the age of 19, you can enter and vote in VWB/VSF's Animals & Ales contest! One thing to keep in mind: winners will have to visit the breweries in person to access the winning brews.
