Myanmar Earthquake Relief

Help Communities and Animals Affected by the Earthquake in Myanmar

On March 28, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, leaving millions of people and animals in crisis. The destruction is widespread—families displaced, infrastructure devastated, and over 3.6 million hectares of livestock impacted. In Mandalay, Sagaing, and Magway—regions where livestock are a lifeline for food security and income—communities are struggling to recover.

Your gift can save lives today.

The earthquake has left countless animals injured, vulnerable, and in need of urgent care. Without immediate intervention, the loss of livestock could devastate entire communities, deepening the humanitarian crisis.

You can provide hope for animals and the people who depend on them.

Veterinarians Without Borders (VWB) is mobilizing an emergency response to deliver urgent veterinary care, protect food security, and support local response efforts. Through our One Health approach, and in collaboration with local partners, we will:

  • Provide emergency veterinary care and supplies for injured and displaced animals.
  • Support local veterinary teams and community responders working on the frontlines of this crisis.
  • Safeguard food security and livelihoods by restoring animal health.
  • Promote recovery by strengthening long-term community resilience.

DONATE NOW

Your donation today will ensure that we can respond swiftly and effectively to this crisis and future emergencies. Every contribution—big or small—makes a direct impact on families and animals struggling to recover.

If you’re unable to make a gift today but would still like to help, we encourage you to share this message with your network. Spreading the word helps raise awareness and mobilize support for those who need it most.

Whether it’s delivering life-saving care to livestock or supporting families whose animals are their only source of food and income, your support makes a lasting, life-changing difference.

Thank you for standing with us when it matters most—and for showing up for both animals and the communities who rely on them.
