Volunteer, VETS Program

"I have been very lucky to be working in veterinary medicine for over 7 years as a mixed animal practitioner. I'm living my best James Herriot life. I enjoy working with all creatures great and small, from cats to cows, puppies to poultry, and all things in between. I believe in the One Health approach of Healthy People, Health Animals and Healthy Environment and focusing on the health of animals on both the companion animal side as well as the production livestock side - both locally and internationally - is an integral aspect to a healthy community and sustainable, healthy food supply. I am excited to work with Veterinarians Without Borders and continue to apply the One Health principles around the world. By helping to provide veterinary service access to farmers in need, we hope to help maintain a sustainable livelihood for producers, a strong local food production ecomony and  healthy communities." - Jaimee
