Event Details: Veterinarians without Borders/Vétérinaires sans frontières (VWB/VSF) invites you to our VETS Study Tour Welcome Reception in Ottawa on April 23rd from 5-7pm EST. This special evening, held at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, promises to be an inspiring experience.

What to Expect: You can expect engaging conversations! Connect with past volunteers and partners from Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ghana, and Kenya. Hear firsthand accounts of the impact our VETS program has had on communities around the world. This is your chance to network, learn, and ask questions about VETS, volunteering, and our local partnerships. Plus, dinner is included!

About VETS: VETS is an 8-year initiative (2020-2028) to improve the economic and social well-being of marginalized individuals, particularly women and girls, in 6 countries across Africa and Asia. Implemented in collaboration with local partners, the program deploys 190 Canadian volunteers on international assignments and is generously funded by Global Affairs Canada. VETS program participants include veterinarians, veterinary technologists, animal and human nutritionists, professors of veterinary medicine, veterinary clinic managers, rural development specialists, business development advisors, monitoring and evaluation, gender specialists and others. VETS volunteer placements range from three weeks to two years, depending on the nature of the position. Learn more.
