Lindsey Speltz is a Board member with Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord U.S.
Over the last 15+ years Lindsey has supporting non-profit finance including not-for-profit auditing, tax, and international accounting. After receiving her master’s degree in accounting from Bradley University in Peoria, IL, she obtained her certified public accountant certification and joined Clifton Larson Allen, a CPA firm in Minnesota. While there she specialized in audit and tax preparation for non-profit organizations, as well as audits of federal and other government funding. In 2012, Lindsey was employed by IDEAS, a U.S. non-profit that send professionals overseas to work with international relief and development organizations. For two years she worked in India as the Finance Director for Operational Mobilization, India (OM India). In this role she managed the accounting of foreign grants and gifts for OM India’s education, health, and economic development projects. She also served as a financial consultant for OM India, providing internal audit services, staff training, and guidance on the development of budget and financial statement platforms. Lindsey joined Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies in October 2014 as the senior financial analyst for the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation. She supports the broader grant making team in pre-grant due diligence and post-grant monitoring, as well as the annual budget, forecasting and financial reporting for the organization.
Lindsey lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband Patrick, their two children Madelyn and Leo, and their dog Murphy.
