Geneviève Douyon

Northern Canada Program Clinic Officer

Geneviève was born in Montreal and raised in a Cree reservation called Chisasibi, located in Northern Quebec. Her passion for the concept of One Health is one she attributes to her lived experience in that area of James Bay.

Geneviève graduated from Vanier College’s veterinary technology program in 2012.

Since graduating, she has worked, volunteered, and provided research in many different types of settings — from shelters and spay neuter clinics, to zoos and wildlife management missions across the globe. All of these experiences have helped her gain various skills that now allow her to wear many hats and adjust to different types of settings
