Taban Kaps Robert joined Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord in January 2022 as the Program Manager for the South Sudan Country Program. He has more than 10 years of experience in the international development arena. He holds a Master’s Degree in Food Security and Development from the University of Reading in UK and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Gulu University- Uganda.

Taban has technical expertise in food security and livelihoods (on-farm and off-farm livelihoods), financial inclusion (VSLAs), disaster risk reduction, job creation (vocational skills development), Environmental protection, agroforestry, green economy, agricultural mechanisation, circular economy, value chains development and promotion, cash programming, climate change adaptation/climate resilience, peace building/community cohesion, fisheries, livestock production, nutrition integration, gender, and one health approach.

He has a wide range of expertise in program development, quality assurance and strategy formulation, policy development and compliance and he is a resourceful team player with wide experience working in, Uganda, DRC, UK, and South Sudan with both for Profit and Non-Profit Organizations.
